Did you ever spend time at the Shinagawa station? That was always a transfer point for me and my favorite soba shop in the yooole world is in that station. Ah, swwet memories.
AH.com: Yup. We always preferred leaving for trip from Shinagawa because it's closer to us than Tokyo station. Is your favorite soba shop tachikui soba or a sit-down place?

I'd put some yen in the machine outside and buy a ticket, then go in and they'd whip up a quick soba bowl. You could sit down, but its not really a "sit down" place. Lots of slurping in a hurry type of place.
AH.com: Did you ever notice that you were the only woman there? :-) Or wait, are you a guy and all this time I've been thinking you're a gal??
