Trash The Dress - sign me up!

I so so so want to do this. Wear my beautiful dress which would otherwise never be touched again, in a photoshoot, the sole purpose of which is to create awesome photos without regard to the precious dress - radical! Anyone done this?

New Year's Eve 1999. Party at my place. My brother and his new bride are shacking up with me and James while they wait to get their new house. SIL gets a little tipsy and wants to party like it's 1999 so she goes into their room and returns wearing her wedding gown, tiara, shoes, etc. Everyone splits a gut and it's the highlight moment of the night.

Well my SIL started a tradition and the next new year's eve, I'm now married with a very nice wedding gown burning a hole in my closet. So I bust it out and wear it to a party at my brother's house. Since then, we always spend nye with them and her brother and SIL and we got her into the wearing the wedding gown thing. It's so much fun - especially when some of us were a bit pregnant or had just had a kid. LUV-LEE.

It's especially awesome when run out into the street to blow horns and throw streamers.

Wedding dresses shouldn't live in acid-free boxes! They need to find life after that one big day.

AH.com response: Wow. These are great stories - thanks for the inspiration - my dress may party once again!!

Priorities, people.
And not some half-formed, new hero to appease their diversifying audience. Who in the DC stable of characters do you think is the most likely candidate?
Now that flannel and crop tops have officially hit their saturation point, it feels like maybe '90s nostalgia has run its course. Here are a few trends that got left behind and are actually looking kind of fresh again? Or maybe they were left behind for a reason.
