A good site for people offended by my previous post: GodTube
Having let the monkeys out of the cage... the government (and others) are forced to admit the obvious… Heeeee's baccck! Well, for the moment anyway – five more days to be precise. THIS, in a word, is getting OLD! And a l'il bit more of my mind (and me) slips away - you can't help BUT leave THAT behind. Regardless…"Once more into the breech, dear friends!"
I'm confused about the BuzzFeed...thing...ie... I'll presume it’s new and try to navigate the (obvious?) intuitive logic of the actual post and associated links... unfortunately and truthfully, both escape me. Then again, I AM clinically brain dead.
After much thought, though... "Why doesn't the image link me…to…the actual…post!?! Why, oh, why???"
GodTube is Preparation H for IslamTube. And four out of five proctologists should recommend it. While it’s easy to poke fun and make humor about another’s position (especially a religious one), it’s an art to actually defend it. If the last few months have taught me anything, God DOES and must exist - even in light of those that find it easy to mock the idea. Saying "no" is easy. Saying "yes" is much harder because you need to defend the affirmative.
There was a time that I told myself I had such simplicity or "belief in mankind". That time is long since gone. "I had a dream and it turned to dust…and what I thought was love, it must have been lust. I was living inside when the walls fell in..." While I WANT it over and the world returned to normal, I KNOW it cannot be. The world has moved on – to quote Stephen King.
The absolutes we find in the world (Avogadro’s number, the speed of light, gravity’s acceleration on Earth) – to me – dictate a higher power. Humans, in all their silliness, pretend to know the power and drape IT in silly dogma. By default and unlike the absolutes, the dogma is flawed.
I could go on and on (I think I already may have), but the thought of... and ironically... "To thine own self be true," comes to mind. We and God can and should exist in parallel. To deny the same, is a denial of one’s self. I’ll see if I’ve the time to explain further. But…for those secular, I’d say… "Don’t worry. Be happy."
