Fly Clear!

Dude. Yes, dude. As much as I love airport security, how awesome does this sound?

flyclear10_01.jpg

Travelers who join the Clear Registered Traveler program are pre-screened for security and provided with a biometric card which will allow them to pass through security faster, with more predictability and less hassle. Clear is fast, convenient and secure. As a Clear member, you'll be in control of your own time and your own schedule. Clear's first year price is $99.95 (includes a $28.00 TSA vetting fee).

Know anyone who's a customer? I'll let you know if I become one and whether in fact one does fly clear with Clear.

I am a Fly Clear customer, have been for about a year. Only airport I have been able to use the pass with is Orlando. It was only $80 when I signed up, but well worth not having to wait in security lines. Process does take about 4-5 wks. to complete, so plan in advance if you have a trip coming up. All that FC does is bump you to the front of the regular security line. Highly recommended! Hopefully more airports/TSA will catch on.

You should look into the privacy and other issues raised around this system. For example, look over the agreement with them - what happens to all the personal information in their databases once you quit paying them their $100 a year?

In fact, think about all the personal information that they will have on you - all your biometrics, your credit card, passport, driver's license, social security number, etc.

I'll pass.

Ummmm..well...given that they had to jump through every hoop imaginable that TSA threw at them, and given they don't want to LOSE all that effort and have TSA revoke their ability to offer this service, I think the data (mine, particularly) is safe. Not that I think TSA is even CLOSE to functional or professional or reasonable...it's just the VALUE of all the work (time and money) that would be lost if they started getting loosey-goosey with the data.

Turns out sperm are secretly extremely patient ninjas. Regardless of how much experience you have in the arena, chances are you have some preconceived notions that are horribly, terribly wrong.
Doug E Fresh has nothing on this little guy.
Blitzer also wants viewers to "keep some perspective on what's going on." This said during CNN's marathon coverage of caucuses in Minnesota and Colorado and the meaningless Missouri "beauty contest" primary.
