5 comedies for your desert island vacation

Updated update! I'd take 7 and my seventh would shirley be Airplane.

Update: I'd take 6 and my sixth would be Monty Python and the Holy Grail...I can't believe I almost left behind we are the knights who say ni! ni! ni ni!!!

22 comedians tell New York Times which comedies they would bring.

Mine (took me about .2 seconds to compile this list):

Annie Hall
When Harry Met Sally
Election
Curb Your Enthusiasm (any season but 5)
There's Something About Mary

Thanks to Nicole for the link!

I doubt I'd take more than one comedy too a desert island. Comedies get pretty stale once the shock value wears off. That being said...

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Caddyshack

The Big Lebowski

What's Up Doc?

Duck Soup (1933)
Bringing Up Baby (1938)
The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942)
A Night at the Opera (1935)
The Running Jumping & Standing Still Film (1959)

I could easily take five Marx Brothers films and some Woody Allen films, not to mention Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, and a few others, but I really do love the Marx Brothers. I tried to vary my list a bit. Also, Mel Brooks. I love High Anxiety (1977).

All of the movies that other people have listed (including you) are fine, too. Decisions, decisions...

"At forward, No. 9, he collects rare birds and has a pet dolphin named Chachi..." Will Ferrell is in the BIg Easy filming a movie. So naturally, he stopped by tonight's New Orleans Hornets-Chicago Bulls NBA game and spiced up the introductions while announcing each team's starting lineup. (via The Daily What)
It's a claim that ex-"Jersey Shore" cast member Angelina has been suggesting since she parted ways with the show and now Snooki and JWoww are telling The Huffington Post that The Situation is, in fact, a closeted homosexual. Suddenly, all of Mike's failed attempts at hooking up with girls at the club make so much sense.
Pretty sure Lana Del Rey is a werevampire of some sort. The woman has Nosferatu nails.
