My friend lives 2 blocks from there, thats taken on the corner of West Broadway and Thomas Street. I can't wait for them to turn the old Western Union building into condo's!

First, how was the shot captured - phone camera from the hip? The image seems to have been front-lighted (a flash), or perhaps, it’s a play of light amongst the concrete canyons...?

And second the Professor from Gilligan's Island MAY have looked like this once, but... I dunno. I can't picture the white converse sneakers and crisp white shirt on the subject - let alone the coconut-powered radio or radioactive seeds as background materials.
