A Man's Right to (Help) Choose?

Here's the original op-ed piece by Dalton Conley and here's the follow up.

There's a lot to ponder here and I think it's worthwhile to give it some serious thought.

While I chew on it, what do you think?

He's back-peddling as fast as he can from what he wrote in the NYT op-ed. I suppose he's realized that it's a disgusting idea in it's implementation. If he truly wanted to start a debate on men's rights vis-a-vis the fetus, there are other, less knuckle-dragging, ways to do it.

I simply don't believe him when he says he was attempting to start a debate. He's just attempting to save what's left of his reputation... or his conscience.

His Op-Ed argument was cogent, sympathetic and clearly reflected his feelings. The follow-up looks like a desparate try to mollify or distract people who could not tolerate his un-PC humanity.

Humanity? Yes, it's very humane to want to have the government force a woman to be your personal incubator.
