I was spending a perfectly promising Saturday afternoon wasting away in Sephora when my BFF, Perry, called me to say frantically, "have you read Christopher Caldwell's Select All: Can you have too many choices? article from the most recent New Yorker?? to which I replied, "not yet!"
He then read me the following excerpt and ended by editorializing, "it's SO true!" We continued talking for what seemed like hours and what seemed like the millionth time we and every other New York friend of mine have talked about and agreed on this issue of suffering from too many choices.

The following morning I read the article aloud (it is really short by New Yorker standards)...
Of course Jonah responded to the above paragraph by saying, "so it seems like you're lucky because you found those three supposedly unattainable attributes...in me!" :-)
To which I replied, "yes, my dear, you look just like the girl I dated in 1983." J/K! J/K!
For those readers who are just dying to know how this article deeply affects andreaharner.com, here's your answer:
This issue is most salient for me, in terms of career and clothing because I've never felt there were many romantic partners worth considering out there but there are certainly too many career choices and clothing choices. Career & Clothing Counselors...help!
