Spike & Sofia go Solo

Obviously I don't know Spike Jonze & Sofia Coppola personally so why should I care that they just got divorced...I guess it's sad because they were both so good looking! J/K! J/K! It's just that they've both done such great work...so now, I hope that it wasn't their combination that enabled it...

It's futile for me to try to describe how much and for how many reasons I loved Sofia Coppola's recent movie Lost In Translation so I won't but...

I will say that even for those of you already familiar with Spike Jonze's work, it's still worth checking out the B-side of the recently released Director's Series, Vol. 1 - The Work of Director Spike Jonze for previously unreleased short documentaries on the making of the music videos and their subjects.

Highlight: Fat Lip from the Pharcyde tells his story.

Comments

I dug around a little bit and found out that Spike Jonze (aka Adam Speigel) is heir to the Speigel catalog fortune. Maybe their divorce is a result of Speigel carrying ugly clothes.

Or maybe it's a spat that started over the small size of Soffia's pancakes. You know, that's what life is about.

BuzzFeed
Roland S. Martin is about to have even more time to tweet. That's because CNN announced this afternoon that Martin, a contributor to the network, has been suspended indefinitely following a pair of homophobic tweets he wrote during last Sunday's Super Bowl (which, as BuzzFeed pointed out, were representative of a larger anti-gay pattern of his).
Deadspin has more regarding the authenticity of these photos that began circulating on this 4Chan board Tuesday afternoon. The whole thing is still kind of unsettling.
I would imagine he wiped the floor with the kids from "Modern Family," but who knows. He definitely has the biggest gun... Plus, Gary Busey has some thoughts on butterflies, Matthew Lillard is a big deal (in his own head), and ladies, Ice T wants you to try his "Dick Test."
